How to Remove Graffiti
This Project Page will provide you with information about the tools and techniques you need to accomplish complete removal of graffiti from masonry, brick, stone and other surfaces.
Graffiti damage costs millions every year so effective management is vital. The good news is studies show that when graffiti is removed within 24 hours, the incentive for vandals and graffiti is also removed and graffiti will reduce.
|What is Graffiti Made of?|
Spraypaint graffiti is formed of pigment, solvent and binder. The sooner you remove the graffiti, the less likely it is that the solvent has had time to evaporate and the binder time to set, thus the time and effort required for the removal process wil be dramatically decreased.
Marker pen ink is formed of permanent ink and a solvent. The sooner you remove the ink, the less time it wil have to penetrate the microstructure of the surface. Thereby increasing the likelihood of successful removal. Page Top>
